How the alternatives compare
SIMATE S5 Kids Electric Scooter
The SIMATE S5 Kids Electric Scooter shifts from a hoverboard to a traditional standing scooter design. You gain a handlebar for better control and stability, which helps shorter riders feel secure. It retains LED lights for visibility but drops the Bluetooth speaker and synchronized light show found on the Razor. The SIMATE focuses on safe, low-speed travel rather than entertainment features. You give up the unique music-reactive experience for a more conventional riding posture. This model suits young users who want a straightforward, portable scooter for short neighborhood trips without the complexity of audio syncing.
FanttikRide T9 Apex Kids Scooter
The FanttikRide T9 Apex offers a higher top speed of 12 MPH compared to the Razor’s 8 MPH limit. It features a 200W motor and includes Bluetooth connectivity, similar to the original. However, it adopts a standing scooter format with an adjustable stem, making it better for growing kids. You trade the hoverboard’s stability and training mode for increased speed and adaptability. The FanttikRide is larger and heavier at 16.6 pounds, affecting portability. This option fits riders who prioritize a customizable fit and slightly faster local commutes over the synchronized light show and beginner-friendly hoverboard mechanics.
Commugo P6 Kids Scooter
The Commugo P6 Kids Scooter provides a 250W motor and Bluetooth support, aligning with the Razor’s entertainment focus. It features LED lights and app control, adding digital customization options the Razor lacks. The top speed is lower at 5 MPH, making it even slower than the original. You gain app integration for tailored rides but lose the EverBalance technology that aids mounting. The Commugo is designed for beginners seeking safe, short-range fun with extra digital features. It suits users who value app connectivity and basic audio support over the higher speed and self-balancing stability of the Razor Sonic Glow.
SIMATE Scooter 6.5" Dual 300W
The SIMATE Scooter 6.5" Dual 300W targets both adults and kids with a robust 250W motor setup. It includes Bluetooth, LED lights, and app control, offering more digital features than the Razor. This model is designed for short, flat commutes where entertainment is key. You gain app connectivity and potentially more power, but you lose the self-balancing hoverboard design and training mode. The SIMATE is a standing scooter, requiring different balance skills. It fits riders who want audio features and app control for casual riding, prioritizing connectivity and stability over the unique synchronized light show and ease of learning provided by the Razor.
SIMATE Bluetooth Scooter 6.5" Solid
The SIMATE Bluetooth Scooter 6.5" Solid is another standing hoverboard option with Bluetooth and LED lights. It includes app control, which the Razor does not offer. This model targets casual riders who value stability and audio features. You gain app connectivity and a solid tire setup, but you give up the synchronized light show and EverBalance technology. The SIMATE is designed for safe, low-speed riding without the focus on entertainment synchronization. It suits users who want a stable, app-controlled ride for casual outings. The trade-off is a less engaging visual experience compared to the Razor’s music-matching LEDs, but with added digital customization options.
SIMATE All-Terrain Hoverboard
The SIMATE All-Terrain Hoverboard offers app control and Bluetooth connectivity, similar to the Razor’s audio features. It is designed for all-terrain riding, suggesting better durability or traction for varied surfaces. You gain app customization and potentially better terrain handling, but you lose the synchronized light show and training mode. This model targets users who prioritize safety certification and customization over high speed. It is a standing hoverboard, requiring balance skills. The SIMATE fits riders who want a reliable, app-controlled ride for rougher surfaces. You trade the fun, music-reactive lighting for a more utilitarian, customizable experience focused on stability and terrain adaptability.
